Job Description

Area Overview

The EmPower & Automation team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions that drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate value delivery to business units in the SPLATAM region. The team operates under an automation factory model (RPA Delivery) with evolution toward agentic capabilities, integrating RPA, BPM, scripting, and generative artificial intelligence.

Role Purpose

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting business process automation solutions using RPA tools, BPM, scripting, and AI agent orchestration frameworks. The Automation Developer works closely with business analysts, SMEs, and the continuous improvement team to transform functional requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

Required Tools and Technologies

  • Automation Anywhere (A360): Design, development, and maintenance of bots (attended/unattended), Control Room integration, and CoE
  • CrewAI: Intelligent agent orchestration, crew design, tools and tasks for agentic solutions
  • Python: Script development for automation, API integration, data processing, and web scraping
  • Microsoft Power Automate/Apps: Creation of automated workflows in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, integration with SharePoint, Teams, and connectors
  • Bizagi: Modeling, development, and support of business processes on the corporate BPM platform

Role Responsibilities

Solution Development and Delivery

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions in accordance with the team's development lifecycle (ADLC), following quality standards and best practices.
  • Develop bots in Automation Anywhere (A360), flows in Power Automate, and processes in Bizagi according to documented technical and functional specifications.
  • Build scripts in Python for integrations, data processing, REST/SOAP API consumption, and automation of tasks that are not feasible through conventional RPA.
  • Design and develop agentic solutions using CrewAI, including crew definition, tasks, tools, and orchestration flows.

Support and Troubleshooting

  • Perform technical troubleshooting of production incidents: errors, duplicates, bot failures, integration failures, and performance issues.
  • Execute root cause analysis (RCA) on automation failures and propose corrective and preventive solutions.
  • Participate in post-implementation monitoring (hypercare) and transition to the support team.

Documentation and Standards

  • Create and maintain complete technical documentation: PDD (Process Design Document), flow diagrams, deployment manuals, and support guides.
  • Adhere to programming standards, security (including Veracode scans), and best practices defined by the CoE and Smart Automation framework.
  • Maintain a repository of reusable components to accelerate future development.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst on technical validation of requirements and effort estimations.
  • Actively participate in scrum sessions, sprint planning, and code reviews with the team.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in automated processes and propose proactive optimizations.
  • Support knowledge transfer to the team and end users on implemented solutions.

Skills and Competencies
