Apprentice Reviews Officer

Salary: This is a part time role with an actual salary of up to £19,617.42 per annum, and a full-time equivalent salary of up to £25,895 per annum dependant on skills and experience.

Working Hours: 25 hours per week with a flexible working pattern to fit the successful candidate.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Reviews Officer to join our Engineering department.

The purpose of the role is to support and mentor apprentices within the relevant apprenticeship standard. Supporting and guiding employers and apprentices to enable them to complete in a timely fashion.

The successful applicant must have:

  • English and Maths to at least Level 2

  • Understanding of apprenticeship standards, EPA process and 3 way reviews

  • Working with Apprenticeship standards

  • Willingness to travel on College business

  • Willingness to learn about the Engineering Curriculum offer

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet targets

  • Enthusiastic, motivated and able to work using own initiative

  • Effective organisational, administrative and communication skills

  • Demonstrate professionalism and work with a range of individuals to meet set team objectives

  • Inspire and empower individuals, sharing knowledge to support achievement

The roles main duties include:

  • Ownership of a caseload of apprentices, developing plans to carry out 3 way reviews regularly as required in order to meet the requirements of the qualification.

  • Collating feedback from apprentices and tutors to support the 3 way review process and ensuring SMART targets are being set for apprentices.

  • Being accountable to the funding requirements of timely 3 way reviews and off the job (OTJ) training logs.

  • Providing support and guidance to apprentices, mentors, employers and other associated stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Liaising with employers where required including ensuring the information we hold is current and that all health and safety requirements are met.

  • Maintaining accurate and timely administrative records associated with monitoring and progress tracking records, three-way-reviews and OTJ training logs to a satisfactory standard. Ensuring the required administration is complete relating to all areas of employer and learner activity, and learner achievement and College guidelines, within established deadlines.

  • Conducting visits to apprentices to carry out regular reviews within the funding requirements of the apprenticeship standard.

  • Working closely with the Apprentice Administration team and Functional Skills team to meet deadlines.

  • Ensuring safe working practices are observed by yourself and others (including apprentices) for whom you are responsible.

  • Providing information or reports as may from time to time as required by the Head of Curriculum or College Senior Leadership Team.

  • Supporting employers where changes or developments are identified relating to the specific sector or business.

  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge.

This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Regulated activity includes teaching, instructing, caring for or supervising children if the person is unsupervised.

Grantham College operate a 4-day working week. Staff benefit from working a full-time contract over four days. You will work core hours of Monday to Thursday, working a Friday morning once a month
