About Cucamonga Valley Water District
What is the Cucamonga Valley Water District?
The Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) is the retail water and wastewater special district for Rancho Cucamonga, California and portions of Fontana, Ontario, Upland and unincorporated San Bernardino County — over 200,000 people across 47 square miles, with roughly 50,000 water and 38,000 sewer connections. Established in 1955, it blends imported supply with local groundwater and canyon water, owns the Lloyd W. Michael Water Treatment Plant (whose public tours draw 100+ guests at a time), and sends its sewage to the Inland Empire Utilities Agency for regional treatment. Its annual Open House & Water Fair drew a record 1,200+ attendees, and its 70th-anniversary video took a CAPIO STAR award.
Where will I work?
District headquarters at 10440 Ashford Street, Rancho Cucamonga. The 4/10 is structural: the site-wide footer reads "Hours Monday through Thursday 7 am to 6 pm Closed Fridays".
What is the CVWD team like?
Around 120 employees across engineering, finance, customer service, IT and field operations. Recent postings include a Lead I.T. Security Specialist. We list the district's office/professional roles; field and plant positions run their own rosters and are excluded from our feed.
Work-Life Balance
