THE CHALLENGE
CONTEXT:
Our Solution Consulting team is a key driver of customer success and strategic value realization. We do not act as a mere demo department, but as trusted advisors who translate complex business requirements into measurable economic benefits. The team works closely with other key areas such as Sales, Value Engineering and Customer Success to ensure a seamless value chain from the first discovery well beyond go-live. The department in the EMEA zone is structured flat and agile; in this role you will report directly to the SC Manager DACH and work closely with our global Center of Excellence.
ROLE:
We are looking for a dynamic Solution Consultant (m/f/d) to strengthen our team in the DACH region, acting as a strategic partner and Value Architect. In this role, you will understand complex business challenges of our customers in key industries such as manufacturing and translate them into forward-looking technology solutions. You are a natural problem solver with strong consulting skills, who conducts excellent needs analyses (discovery) and precisely identifies strategic value drivers. As an enthusiastic technology enthusiast, you have the ability to present highly complex connections simply and convincingly. You stand out through excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working passionately in a team and continuously challenge yourself to keep developing.
YOUR TASKS IN DETAIL
- Close collaboration with the Sales team in the DACH region as well as supporting departments such as Center of Excellence and Value Engineering throughout the entire sales cycle. After go-live, you continue to work closely with Customer Success, Innovation Success and Account Management teams.
- Technical and functional analysis of potential new customers and existing customers, and implementation of the identified requirements into concrete solution scenarios.
- Active, hands-on use of cutting-edge, innovative technologies and AI solutions (Generative & Agentic AI) both to increase internal efficiency (e.g. automated preparation, deal research, RFP creation) and to create differentiated customer stories (storytelling).
- Drafting and strategic refinement of RFIs and RFPs to ensure maximum response quality and a compelling value proposition.
- Audience-oriented translation and stylistically appropriate adaptation of complex technological messages to the respective knowledge level of the audience (from operational procurement managers to CIOs and C-level decision makers).
- Appearing as a Subject Matter Expert at industry conferences, trade fairs and Ivalua customer events, and conducting strategic analyst demos to differentiate our platform in the market.
- Act as a liaison to our product team and translate real customer requirements into innovative new use cases. As over 60% of our platform innovations are based directly on customer feedback, you actively help shape our service portfolio and the future product roadmap.
- Willingness to travel – primarily within the DACH region (occasionally Central Europe)
YOUR PROFILE
If you have the experience and strengths listed below, this position could be just right for you:
Knowledge and experience:
- Vocational training or university degree in a commercial or technical field, plus 5+ years of experience in customer-facing positions, ideally in a software environment
- Experience in consulting, procurement, presales, solution engineering, customer success or software implementation
- Enthusiasm for technology and innovation with the ability to operationally apply cutting-edge technologies and AI concepts, explain them understandably and convincingly position their business value
- Strong analytical and investigative approach to solving customer problems and aligning business and technology goals
- Convincing presentation skills at management level, with a strong results orientation;
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is an advantage
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication skills, outstanding presentation and storytelling skills
- Business-fluent German and excellent English skills; French skills are a plus
- Pronounced problem-solver mindset combined with high self-motivation to continually face new challenges and keep learning
- Passion for technology, innovation and continuous improvement
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team orientation
