The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Syracuse University is seeking a Part-time Instructor to teach one 3-credit section of LIN 374/674 in the fall 2026 semester, which begins on August 24, 2026 (appointment begins on August 17, 2026).
LIN 374/674 – Topics in Sociolinguistics Functions of language in society. Geographical, socioeconomic, and male-female differentiation. Functions of various types of speech events.
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per credit rate history within the hiring department.
