About us
We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team at Tool&Die Machining as a Measurement Technician at Volvo Cars in Olofström. Working hours are during the day.
Become part of a competent group where we constantly strive to develop and improve our working methods. Does this sound interesting? Read on to learn more about what the job entails and what skills are required. Perhaps you will be our next colleague?
What will you do?
As a Measurement Technician, you will work with scanning castings and mold surfaces, as well as performing measurements using Leica and GOM equipment. The scanning data is used, among other things, to create digital models of castings and to enable modifications to existing press tools. The measurements are used for quality assurance and troubleshooting when issues arise in the press tools.
In this role, you are responsible for planning and executing scanning and measurement assignments, processing and analyzing collected data, and documenting the results in a clear and quality-assured manner. You will have close contact with, among others, toolmakers, machining, engineering, and other cross-functional departments. You are also expected to contribute actively to improvement work regarding methods, working procedures, and the use of our measurement and scanning equipment.
Are you a good fit for the position?
We believe you have a technical upper secondary education of 2–4 years, as well as passing grades in Math (A/1), Swedish/Swedish as a second language (A/1), English (A/5), Social Studies (A/1), or equivalent professional experience. Experience in industrial measurement technology, 3D scanning, press tools, tool manufacturing, or similar operations is an advantage.
You have good computer skills and an interest in measurement technology and digital working methods. Experience with Leica and GOM hardware is meritorious. It is also an advantage if you have worked in Tebis, PolyWorks, or GOM Inspect. In our daily work, we also use the Microsoft Office suite.
You as a person
We place great importance on your personal qualities. You enjoy collaborating and contribute to the team by showing respect and trust toward colleagues and customers. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and analytical, and you enjoy solving technical problems. To thrive in the role, you need to work in a structured manner, be able to interpret measurement results, and document your work clearly. Since the work can be event-driven, you also need to be flexible and able to reprioritize when conditions change.
