As a Junior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing planning support, working with the project team to develop and manage programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project plan using software , working with stakeholders to capture assumptions and identify dependencies to ensure plans are robust.
  • Contribute towards the development of Work Breakdown and progress monitoring strategy.
  • Identify project resource requirements through the application of project planning techniques.
  • Gathers information from project teams and stakeholders and produces basic project performance reports.
  • Integrate 3rd party schedules and data into the overall project plan
  • Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned financial position with the Project Plan.
  • Developing skills in new software including, Primavera (P6).

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • An interest in the construction industry
  • Good IT literacy with the MS Office.
  • Good communication skills and working in a Team.
  • An organised individual that can work well within a team and to deadline.

Desirable

  • Previous knowledge of planning activities.

Essential

  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths

Desirable

  • Minimum of HNC/HND ideally in a planning discipline or relevant experience
  • APM Project Membership
