Job Description
As an IT Developer at Ubisoft Montreal, you will join the Games and Studios Information Technology team, within the team responsible for build and orchestration. In this IT Developer role, you will design, develop, and support essential services and products that power the production pipelines used by game development teams worldwide.
You will work closely with system administrators, developers, and DevOps specialists to deliver reliable, high-performing, and scalable solutions. This position combines software development and operational responsibilities, including participation in an on-call rotation to ensure the availability of critical systems.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain internal services and products supporting game production pipelines
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot features in Python or C# in distributed environments
- Improve existing codebases to resolve complex technical issues
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of services in private and public cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and high-performing solutions
- Contribute to automation and continuous integration and delivery pipelines to optimize deployments
- Participate in platform evolution initiatives to meet future needs
- Monitor and support critical systems, including on-call rotation
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Team
- Strong skills in Python or C#, with exposure to Go, and the ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot applications
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines and modern DevOps practices, including automation, monitoring, and logging
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms and tools such as Azure or AWS, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Practical understanding of Linux and Windows environments, including networking basics and system log analysis
- Knowledge of microservices architectures and distributed systems principles
- An operational mindset, combined with strong communication and collaboration skills, to support international teams
