Job Description
We are looking for an HR business partner to manage our day-to-day HR operations and support our teams in a dynamic production environment. As a leading advisor, you will guide and equip managers to help them effectively meet the HR challenges within their teams.
This role requires great adaptability in the face of staffing variations linked to production activities (growth and reduction of teams depending on project progress), and the ability to alternate between strategic advice and operational tasks.
Recruitment

Lead end-to-end recruitment, from identifying needs to onboarding;
-
Work with department heads to anticipate staffing needs according to project expansion and downsizing phases;
-
Efficiently manage critical hires and the tracking of open positions;
-
Coordinate bilingual job postings and ensure compliance with local language requirements, where applicable.
Performance Management
-
Support managers during performance reviews, improvement plans, and the use of performance management tools;
-
Take part in setting objectives and tracking their progress;
-
Guide managers toward preventive and effective management of performance issues.
Labour Relations and HR Support
-
Act as the HR point of contact for managers and employees, being present, available, and responsive;
-
Lead the resolution of complex labour relations cases (conflicts, accommodations, complaints, disengagement…);
-
Advise managers on HR best practices to maintain a work climate conducive to team development and the achievement of objectives;
-
Support managers in developing their leadership, team dynamics, and handling difficult conversations.
Support to Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on workforce strategy and optimization of organizational structures.
Departures and Layoffs
- Oversee the entire employment termination cycle, whether voluntary or involuntary, in compliance with labour standards and legal obligations.
HR Operations
-
Keep employee records up to date in HR systems;
-
Ensure ongoing compliance with current labour legislation;
-
Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies suited to a production environment.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience as a generalist HR professional or HRBP, ideally within the VFX, animation, or another related industry;
-
Solid experience in end-to-end recruitment in contexts of rapid growth and high volumes; experience in a production environment is an asset;
-
Excellent foundation in performance management and labour relations;
-
Experience in empathetic and rigorous management of employment terminations;
-
Good knowledge of local labour standards and labour law;
-
Comfort working autonomously with minimal HR infrastructure; this is a generalist, hands-on role, not a specialized one;
-
Excellent judgment, exemplary discretion, and the ability to quickly build trust with managers and collaborators at all levels.
