Job Description
As an FP Partner – Studio Canada at Ubisoft, you will play a key role in driving the financial performance of Studio Vantage across Canada, working closely with the Director FP&A R&D.
This position is available at one of our Canadian studios, Quebec or Montreal.
You will combine analytical rigor, understanding of business challenges, and influence capabilities to support decision-making at various levels of the organization.
You will contribute to financial monitoring, produce high-value analyses, and participate in the continuous improvement of management processes to provide clear visibility on costs, investments, and resource allocation.
You will evolve in a cross-functional and international environment, working closely with local Finance teams, studio operational teams, and key partners such as Procurement, HR, and other support functions.
What you will do
Financial management and strategic vision
- Ensure monitoring of financial performance (closing, actuals, forecast) over a defined scope of entities
- Analyze variances vs. budget and forecast by providing clear insight into key performance drivers
- Track and challenge financial trajectories (Opex, Capex, payroll, cash flow) with a focus on sustainability and strategic alignment
- Contribute to financial planning exercises with a structured and critical approach
Strategic analysis and performance optimization
- Produce financial analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and optimization levers
- Evaluate studio performance through key KPIs (headcount, payroll, subsidies, structure costs, and local G&A)
- Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives, productivity improvements, and resource allocation
- Contribute to the evolution of management tools to improve data quality, granularity, and availability
Business partnering and international coordination
- Act as a reference financial partner to operational teams and support functions
- Challenge financial assumptions and operational decisions with a value creation mindset
- Coordinate financial processes and ensure consistency of reporting between local entities and headquarters
- Contribute to financial trade-offs by providing a cross-functional and structured perspective
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Good understanding of studio structure costs (Opex, Capex, payroll)
- Strong financial analysis skills and data interpretation abilities
- Analytical mindset with ability to structure and step back from issues
- Good knowledge of financial planning tools, ERP, and BI tools
- Comfort in cross-functional and international environments
