Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Engineering Technician (UAE National) to join our team! In this role, you will support structural design for infrastructure and transportation projects across the UAE.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in the structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and related civil structures under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Prepare calculations for structural elements including superstructure, substructure, and foundations, in accordance with relevant design codes (AASHTO LRFD / BS EN / ACI, as applicable).
- Support the development of design drawings and coordinate with CAD/BIM teams to ensure the design intent is clearly and accurately reflected.
- Assist with structural modelling and analysis using software such as MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.
- Participate in site visits and coordination meetings to gain exposure to construction sequencing, field conditions, and practical implementation of designs.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

- Basic understanding of structural analysis principles and the design of reinforced/prestressed concrete or steel structures.
- Familiarity with at least one structural analysis/design software package (e.g., MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
