Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned District to maximize product value and business results.
  • Prioritize customers and key facilities to enhance Amgen's reputation and brand value, and achieve sales targets.
  • Lead the rapid market introduction and sustainable growth of biosimilars and biosame products.
  • Monitor and drive the progress of various initiatives, and lead talent development and the creation of a strong organization.
  • Act as a bridge between the field and headquarters to drive transformation initiatives.

Job Duties:

  • Formulate and execute area goals and action plans for the launch of new products and additional formulations, achievement of sales budgets, revenue security, and market penetration in the assigned District.
  • Direct account strategies for key facilities and hospital groups, and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Promote talent development and performance achievement for MRs and Key Account Managers through OJT, coaching, and training.
  • Support reliable responses to side effects and complaints.
  • Collaborate with Finance & Strategy and distribution policy teams, and maintain close communication with pharmaceutical wholesaler executives to powerfully drive initiatives.
  • Report directly to the Regional Sales Director of the Biosimilar Business Unit.

Requirements:

  • MR certification
  • 10+ years of experience in MR or sales departments within a pharmaceutical company
  • Experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
  • Strategic thinking based on data analysis (Business Acumen)
  • Practical experience with pharmaceutical wholesaler policies and a track record of expanding market share and acquiring accounts
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, market environment, medical systems, and relevant guidelines
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to lead an organization through coaching and change management
  • Growth mindset to constantly take on new challenges and high ownership
  • Ability to comply with compliance, act with high ethical standards, and fulfill accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in people management within a pharmaceutical company
  • Proven track record of achieving team results through talent development and performance management
  • Experience in key account management within a pharmaceutical company
  • Experience in distribution policy or managing specialty wholesalers within a pharmaceutical company (headquarters experience preferred)
  • Experience as an MR or sales manager for biopharmaceuticals (including biosame and biosimilar products)
