THE CHALLENGE
CONTEXT:
As Director of Professional Services, you are responsible for the successful implementation of Ivalua solutions across a portfolio of projects.
THE ROLE:
You will lead a team of Implementation Specialists and Implementation Leads and ensure project success by managing scope, budget, timeline, and quality, while collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Intelligence, and Product teams. You will play a central role in customer satisfaction, partner support, and risk management, while also contributing your own professional and technical expertise to project execution.
YOUR TASKS IN DETAIL
Project Execution & Delivery
- Ensure the successful execution of all projects in your portfolio while adhering to deadlines, budgets, scope, and quality requirements
- Define and enforce operational processes to increase project efficiency
- Provide operational support to the team by sharing best practices regarding the business and the Ivalua solution
Customer & Partner Management
- Primary point of contact for customers at the management level; build and maintain strong relationships
- Governance and high-level steering of projects led by partners to ensure compliance with Ivalua standards
- Effective management of risks and escalations, including defining and ensuring action plans
Financial & KPI Management
- Ensure ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) and margin in the service business to achieve financial goals
- Track and manage KPIs in the Professional Services area (e.g., project profitability, resource utilization, customer satisfaction, time-to-value)
- Identify inefficiencies in project execution and initiate continuous improvements
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing Professional Services team
- Empower and develop team members through coaching, training, and development programs
- Provide professional and technical guidance to ensure the team builds a deep understanding of the Ivalua platform
Strategic Contribution & Product Contribution
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of the Professional Services strategy
- Actively support innovation success initiatives; work closely with customers to identify potential gaps and improvements for future implementations
YOUR PROFILE
If you possess the experience and strengths listed below, this position might be the right fit for you:
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 10+ years of experience in software development, project management, or professional services
- Strong procurement experience and a good understanding of source-to-pay processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven leadership and people management experience, including developing and mentoring teams
- Experience in a multicultural, global environment
- Willingness to travel
- Very good German and English skills
