Business Support Officer

9 day fortnight$77kHybrid · Narangba, Australia

The Details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $76,710 pa + 12% super (level 2)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Narangba

This position provides administrative support to enable the effective implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of Construction Support operations. You will contribute to the efficient delivery of Council construction activities by undertaking a range of administrative, data management, procurement and communication functions.

This includes:

  • Providing general administrative support to the Internal Construction team, ensuring clear communication of matters or emerging issues requiring attention and contributing to smooth departmental operations.
  • Assisting with the collation of data and preparation of construction project documentation to support best practice construction management and informed decision making
  • Coordinating the flow of construction related information by accurately tracking, recording and communicating documents, updates and requests, including the preparation and recording of meeting minutes to support efficient project delivery
  • Preparing and administering contract documentation, and supporting the department in monitoring and managing contractor performance to maintain consistent standards and compliance
  • Supporting procurement activities for contracted services in alignment with Council’s procurement guidelines, contributing to transparent and efficient procurement processes
  • Contributing to a positive, high performing team culture

About you

Ideally, you will bring demonstrated experience providing administrative and contract support within a construction, technical or project based environment.

You’ll also have:

  • The ability to manage competing priorities, with strong time management and organisational skills
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build productive relationships and work effectively within a team environment
  • Experience using a range of software applications, including proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to support accurate data analysis and reporting
  • A current C Class driver’s licence
