Job Description

In Germany, Amgen is represented by a research site and a commercial site. Both locations are in Munich. This vacancy is for the commercial site (Amgen GmbH) on Riesstraße.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a member of and strategic business partner to the management team
- Responsibility for external corporate communications as well as support for executive communications, issues management, and selected internal communication measures
- Identification of relevant target groups in Germany, development of a coordinated and targeted communication strategy, monitoring of relevant trends, and assessment of their impact on the business
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with key journalists and media representatives in Germany, as well as responsibility for Amgen Germany's social media channels and the development of relevant, target-group-oriented content
- Support for local issues management, assessment, and escalation of relevant topics in collaboration with regional and global colleagues as required
- Efficient and effective design of communication processes through the continuous use and further development of innovative technologies and working methods, including company-wide AI solutions
- Successful implementation of Amgen Germany's strategic priorities in close cooperation with various functions
- Understanding of relevant developments in pharmaceutical health policy in Germany and providing advice on communication-related issues in collaboration with relevant teams
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant local processes, regulatory requirements, and legal guidelines, as well as ensuring corporate communications are in line with global corporate policies and Amgen Brand Governance regarding Corporate Affairs activities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully completed university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a comparable field
- Ideally at least 9 years of professional experience in implementing internal and external communication measures, preferably in the pharmaceutical environment
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry and an established network of German media representatives are an advantage
- Experience working in international matrix organizations as well as implementing global communication strategies and priorities at a local level is a plus
- Strong analytical skills as well as experience in measuring success, reporting, and data-driven derivation of recommendations for action are desirable
- Independent, proactive working style with the ability to set priorities autonomously and achieve sustainable results even in a dynamic environment
- Strong intercultural competence and ability
- Strategic thinking, high problem-solving competence, and the ability to develop creative yet compliant communication solutions
- Confident and strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken; German approx. C2 and English approx. C1 level)

The gross compensation expected for this position at the advertised location is between EUR 114,175.00 and EUR 154,471.00. Actual compensation will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, professional experience, and qualifications.
