Wilderness Committee
Dedicated to preserving Canada's wilderness, wildlife, and climate through research, education, and community action.
Who we are
The Wilderness Committee, established in 1980, operates as a registered non-profit and federal charity passionately dedicated to wilderness preservation.
With a head office in Vancouver and additional field offices in Victoria, Winnipeg, and Toronto, our team works across Canada. We are powered by 60,000 supporters, volunteers, and activists committed to protecting nature and wildlife.
What we do
Our work is centered around protecting nature, defending wildlife, and fighting climate change. By working closely with Indigenous communities and employing grassroots activism, we advocate for protecting ecological spaces and species at risk. Our campaigns engage the public and challenge existing systems to foster equity and environmental justice.
