Resource Generation
Mobilizing young people with wealth for social justice through equitable distribution of wealth, land, and power.
Who we are
Resource Generation (RG) is a national, multiracial, membership-based organization founded in the 1990s. We are dedicated to mobilizing young people aged 18-35 with wealth and class privilege to become transformative leaders working towards the equitable distribution of wealth, land, and power. Headquartered in the U.S., we have 18 chapters and engage in base-building, political education, giving circles, and local and national campaigns.
What we do
Our work includes organizing young people with wealth to invest in social justice movements, offering political education programming, and supporting local campaigns. We partner with organizations like the Center for Popular Democracy and the Movement for Black Lives to support grassroots efforts led by poor and working-class communities and people of color. Our initiatives include webinars, conferences, and praxis groups to educate and empower our members to leverage their privilege for systemic change.
Working at Resource Generation
At RG, we emphasize a collaborative and inclusive work environment grounded in feminist and social justice principles. We operate on a 32-hour workweek, generally Monday through Thursday, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Our team of 22 full-time staff members work remotely from various locations across the U.S. We are committed to anti-oppression, diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a supportive environment where staff can thrive personally and professionally.
