Pride Foundation
Advancing equity and justice for LGBTQ+ communities across the Northwest.
Who we are
Pride Foundation, established in 1985 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is the only LGBTQ+ community foundation serving the Northwest region, including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Our mission is to fuel transformational movements to advance equity and justice for LGBTQ+ people in all communities across the Northwest. We have invested over $70 million in community change, grounded in the belief that every person should live safely, openly, and genuinely in all the places we call home.
What we do
Our work includes awarding scholarships, providing grants, and supporting community initiatives. Since 1993, we have awarded over $8.5 million in scholarships to over 2,400 LGBTQ+ student leaders. We also provide critical funding to grassroots organizations working to address the needs of LGBTQ+ people, particularly those most affected by systemic injustices. Through our CARE (Community Advocacy, Research, and Education) program, we engage in public education, advocacy, and support for community-led initiatives to foster a more just and equitable society.
