People's Economy
People’s Economy empowers communities facing economic injustice with the tools and knowledge to drive systemic change.
Who we are
People’s Economy is a UK-based social enterprise that empowers individuals and communities facing economic injustice. Through training, community-building, and strategic collaborations, we work alongside changemakers to build a fairer economic system that prioritizes the needs of those marginalized by the current structure. Our team operates with a commitment to equity and inclusivity, guided by core values that center around social justice and long-term community impact.
Our organization is grounded in a supportive, relational team culture that values empathy, open communication, and a commitment to making an enduring difference. We meet regularly for in-person team days to strengthen bonds and strategize, ensuring our team remains connected and aligned with our mission to address economic inequities.
What we do
People’s Economy offers programs and resources that help communities understand, analyze, and challenge economic injustices. We partner with community organizations across the UK, from North Wales to Birmingham, providing workshops, training, and collaborative spaces that enable communities to imagine alternative economic structures. Our services include short training sessions and longer courses designed to inspire and equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to become advocates for economic change.
In addition, we engage in movement-building initiatives, connecting grassroots groups with professional sectors to foster collaboration and amplify impact. We aim to create better conditions for lasting economic transformation by focusing on sustainable partnerships and community empowerment. People’s Economy is committed to developing solutions that reflect the lived experiences of those directly impacted by economic inequities.
