About Opportunity Green
Who we are
Opportunity Green is a not-for-profit organisation working on bold, fair solutions to global climate action. Registered as UK charity #1199413, the team focuses on equity and justice in climate policy, holding polluters accountable in often-overlooked sectors like international shipping, aviation, and heavy industry. The organisation operates across the UK from a London office and across mainland Europe from Opportunity Green Europe in Brussels.
What we do
Our team — lawyers, economists, scientists, and advocacy specialists — champions climate solutions through law, economics, and policy. Current focus areas include shipping and aviation decarbonisation, data-centre sustainability, alternative fuels analysis, climate-justice initiatives, climate-law enforcement (greenwashing complaints and OECD cases), and the SASHA Coalition partnering with shipping and aviation companies on the energy transition.
Where will I work?
Opportunity Green operates a hybrid model across two offices. UK-based staff can be London-based or remote within the UK, with two consecutive days per month in the London office. Brussels-based staff work a minimum of two days per week in the Brussels office with bi-monthly travel to London. Open roles published in 2026 include a Brussels-based Communications Manager (€4,310.34/month) and a London-or-UK-remote Research Officer in Economics and Finance (£40,000).
Work-life balance and the four-day week
Every Opportunity Green role is structured as "a 4 day full-time work week (Monday – Thursday)" at 28 hours total. The team is committed to a people-first workplace, an Equal Parenting policy with 26 weeks of paid leave for both parents, and a paid-internships-only policy that meets the London Living Wage standard. Salaries are published on every job listing.
