About One Young World
Who We Are
One Young World is a global NGO, headquartered in Central London, that exists "to empower and develop young leaders to build a fair and sustainable future for all." Founded by David Jones and Kate Robertson, the organisation is registered as a charity in England and Wales (Reg. No. 1147298) and operates from 14 Irving Street, WC2H 7AF. Endorsed by global figures including Meghan Markle, Justin Trudeau and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, One Young World has grown into a worldwide network of more than 20,500 changemakers — described in their own words as "the largest corporate footprint of any charity."
What We Do
The organisation's centrepiece is the annual One Young World Summit, where young leaders from every country gather alongside senior global figures to address humanity's most pressing issues — from conflict prevention and gender equality to health equity and climate. Since 2010, Ambassador-led projects have directly influenced over 58 million lives. Alongside the Summit, One Young World runs Lead 2030, described as "the world's biggest prize fund for the Sustainable Development Goals," and provides scholarship pathways aimed at lifting scholar representation among delegates from 30% to 50% over the next five years.
Where Will I Work?
Roles are based in One Young World's Central London office, with a "vibrant location with easy access to the city's cultural life." Office life includes complimentary breakfasts and sanitary products, Thursday evening socials and cultural celebrations. Unless otherwise stated, applicants need the right to work in the UK.
What is the One Young World Team Like?
The team is purpose-driven. As the careers page puts it: "you'll join a diverse team of professionals who've chosen to make global impact their day job." One Young World is committed to equal-opportunity hiring and provides reasonable accommodation throughout the application process. The internal Global Leadership Charter — a seven-principle framework — underpins how the team treats each other and approaches work. For early-career professionals, the Fellowship Programme is a nine-month structured pathway that gives Fellows hands-on experience delivering the Summit and joining the Ambassador network on graduation.
