Who we are
Gidget Foundation Australia is a leading not-for-profit organization supporting the emotional well-being of expectant and new parents. Established in memory of Gidget, a vibrant young mother who tragically took her own life while suffering from postnatal depression, the Foundation has grown significantly since its inception in 2001. We are based in North Sydney, NSW, and operate nationwide.
What we do
Our mission is to ensure that parents receive timely, appropriate, and specialist care to address perinatal depression and anxiety. Gidget Foundation Australia is the largest and only national provider of free specialist perinatal mental health services, impacting around 100,000 Australians each year. Our services include psychological support, education, and community awareness programs to reduce stigma and provide vital resources to needy parents.
