Co-founded in 2020 by Benedict Padberg and Guido Zuidhof, the company are "the pioneers of invisible CAPTCHA technology" — proving that "bots and automated abuse can be prevented without compromising user experience, accessibility, or privacy."
The product is built on proof-of-work mechanisms and advanced risk signals: it generates a unique crypto puzzle for each end user's device that's solved silently in the background by the time a form is submitted, requiring no labelling or visible challenge. The platform is fully GDPR- and CCPA-compliant by eliminating common privacy risks such as HTTP cookies and personal data storage, and meets WCAG accessibility requirements with seamless support for assistive technologies.

Friendly Captcha is headquartered in the Munich area, but the team is fully distributed across Europe — the company works 100% remotely within the EU/EEA only. Site languages include English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, reflecting the geographic spread of the team.
What is the Friendly Captcha team like?
