Treasury Assistant

Reports to: Head of Finance

Location: Hybrid - Newmarket - 2-days on-site, 2-days WFH

Hours: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

Salary: £27,000 - £33,000

Contract: 9-12-month fixed term contract

Product: Group level, Wonde, Evouchers & Secure Schools

Job snapshot:

As our Treasury Assistant, you will play an important role in optimising the group's cashflow. You’ll be responsible for contributing to the overall financial health of Beyond by analysing cash flow trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best cash management practices.

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, great attention to detail and a collaborative spirit.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the cashflow of all companies, including both UK and overseas entities
  • Monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior management
  • Reviewing funding requirements, which will include monitoring retail voucher floats and inter-company transfers
  • Update cash flow forecasts, factoring in AP payment runs
  • Reconcile voucher supplier invoices/float statements
  • Reconcile bank accounts frequently
  • Enter payments in banking platforms for approval
  • Regularly update finance systems and spreadsheets with comments
  • Collect and enter data for various financial reports as and when required
  • Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures
  • Assist the Finance team with generic tasks

What we’re hoping you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in a treasury-related role
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements related to treasury functions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
