About the role (External)

What does the average day look like?

As a crucial member, you'll tackle a range of responsibilities, from overseeing general office tasks like managing mail and coordinating diaries to maintaining vital personnel records, including sensitive assets like mobile phones. You'll be the driving force behind seamless travel arrangements, ensuring our team is equipped with everything they need, from hotels to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Organising meetings will be second nature to you, as you expertly handle documentation and minute-taking, ensuring no detail is overlooked. Your friendly and professional telephone manner will be key in delivering exceptional customer service, while also keeping the team informed through clear communication channels. With your meticulous attention to detail, our filing system will be in top shape, and you'll effortlessly handle financial and procurement tasks, acting as a Local Purchasing Agent when needed. Proactive in problem-solving, you'll report and monitor IT and office facility issues, ensuring a smooth workflow. From conducting technical literature searches to embodying Network Rail's values, your dedication will be the cornerstone of our success.

For roles based at the Quadrant:MK you must live within 90 minutes or be willing to relocate.

Band & Salary: Band 6 £20,800 - £28,980 (Depending on experience)

Drugs and Alcohol Standard:

All successful candidates will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test. Your application will be rescinded if you record a positive test. All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel database and a 5 year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced.
