QA Manager

Role: Senior QA Manager

Compensation: Base Salary of $120,000 to $130,000 USD

Description: We are seeking a seasoned QA Manager with experience in implementing and shaping the company’s QA processes and strategies to head our Quality Assurance department . The ideal candidate will own all QA functions, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met for our products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce, as our products are intricately linked with this platform. The QA Manager will not only manage the QA processes and team but also actively engage in learning our products inside out to validate the effectiveness of current tools and processes.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement QA strategies and processes that align with company goals and product timelines.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the company to understand product requirements, establish and maintain test environments, and improve processes.
• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure that Blackthorn's products meet the highest quality standards.
• Leverage Salesforce expertise to validate the functionality and performance of our products within the Salesforce ecosystem, as well as, managing Salesforce Trialforce Orgs.
• Actively learn and become proficient in Blackthorn products to ensure effective validation of current tools and processes.
• Identify and analyze testing results, issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommend, facilitate, and implement solutions to these issues.
• Stay abreast of new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the QA process.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we look for

• At least 5 years of diverse experience working as a QA engineer or similar role
• At least 2 years proven experience as a QA Manager or similar role, managing QA processes and teams
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce, with hands-on experience in Salesforce environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based applications and mobile application testing including performance testing.
• Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Experience in managing risk through prioritizing and automating test cases whether for functional, usability, performance, compliance or security testing.
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams.
