You will be reporting to Annemaree Shaw, Chief Financial Officer

I joined Auror 2 years ago having spent the prior 8 years of my career working in the NZ growth saas space.

Previously I had worked for medium sized companies in both London and Auckland, and now I have really found my place working with companies like Auror, that are destined to grow into something mighty and a little bit different, with lots of clever people that make the journey fun along the way.

I am passionate about finance being a partner at Auror and not the accountant in the corner, where the numbers tell a great story and we can make everything we do in the background easy so all the other teams can get on with their day jobs. Whilst also making sure leaders have the right information to make good decisions. I am a people-led manager, always open to new ideas and here to guide, but want you to feel empowered to take the lead and own your patch. Outside of work, I have 10-year-old twin boys. As a family we love nothing more than being outside, playing at the beach in the summer, and in the snow in the winter. Check out my LinkedIn here.

As our Senior Finance Manager, you’ll bring the following skills and experience:

  • You will be a qualified accountant, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar leadership role
  • Ideally with at least 5 years of working in a software company with a growth mindset
  • You will have strong accounting experience and a deep understanding of core accounting principles (strong knowledge and application of IFRS) and the full accounting process
  • You will have an understanding of compliance across the world and what to look out for
  • You are a creative, strategic thinker with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • You will also have strong, professional verbal and written communication skills

We are looking for people who demonstrate a strong alignment to our Guiding Principles (you can find these on our Careers page).

With diversity and inclusion at the forefront of Auror’s guiding principles, we promote a culture that celebrates diversity and inclusiveness at Auror, regardless of, but not limited to, race, gender, sexual orientation, family status, religion, ethnicity, national origin, physical disability, veteran status, or age.

  • Competitive salary Range: Depending on level of experience of $150,000-$170,000 (PL5)
  • Employee share scheme: You’ll own part of a company making a real difference!
  • Flexibility: We are hard-working and outcome focused, but recognise there is more to life than work. We promote a healthy work/life blend.
  • Shorter work weeks (at full pay): Everyone gets Friday afternoons off, so you can start your weekend early, and do more of whatever it is that makes you happy.
  • Focus on mental and physical health: We understand how vital our health is and have policies to support your wellness, including: Wellness Days,  and up to three expert sessions paid for every year.
  • Health Care Plan: From 1 April ‘24, Auror covers 100% of the cost of your individual health insurance plan.
  • Family-friendly: We offer comprehensive parental leave and benefits for primary and non-primary caregivers, including a baby bonus and meals delivered to your door.
  • Personal growth: We support our team to participate in courses, conferences, or events that will help them develop their skills.
  • Team love: We have regular team lunches and social events where most (if not all) activities are during work hours.
