2. Take-Home Test (1–4 Hours)

Next up, we have an “interview” stage that's super important to Deel's hiring process—the take-home test.

Everyone applying to work at Deel will be asked to take a take-home test that covers questions, challenges, and exercises related to the job they applied for. This is designed to give them an idea of how you approach problem-solving and think through complex challenges.

Tests will look different depending on the position being applied for. Software engineers might be asked to write code, while product managers may be asked to design a product roadmap.

The technical interview can either be virtual or in-office (if you applied for a location-dependent role).

Your interviewer will ask questions related to your resume, experience, and—most importantly—your technical skills. These are generally more in-depth than the questions asked during the phone screen.

You'll get a follow-up email within 48 hours with feedback on whether you passed this stage or not.

4. Final Interview (1 Hour)

The final interview is a one-on-one meeting with the head of the department you'll be joining. It's usually much more informal than the technical interview—it gives both parties an opportunity to discuss the job further.

At Deel, the final round interview typically lasts an hour and consists of both the interviewer and candidate discussing their backgrounds, expectations, interests, and work experience. Basically, anything that can give you a better understanding of each other.
