Software Tester 2

**Job Overview

**Under general supervision, conducts data-driven testing of highly complex software applications. The position is responsible for testing and data validation of ValueTrak Product modules, migration of legacy data, and general software testing assignments.

**Essential Functions
**

• Participates in Agile Team meetings with responsibility of understanding the requirements and writing User Acceptance Criteria for incoming requests
• Performs Data Testing of external and internal facing web enhancements for the benefit of customers and IQVIA staff
• Writes database queries to perform data validation on calculations
• Understands how the business work-flow impacts the testing of the underlying back-end data while ensuring results are correctly represented
• Understands correct testing techniques and sampling strategies to write test scenarios
• Understands underlying data, table relationships, and how to create or manipulate data to trigger desired test conditions
• Languages used include Oracle SQL and Oracle SQL Developer as a tool to write SQL statements

**Qualifications
**

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
• 2 plus years’ experience working with data ensuring accuracy of results for decision-making
• 2 plus years’ experience working with SQL or advanced Excel functionality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and logical thinking capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills, working in collaboration with onshore and offshore teams
• Proven ability to work independent and productively
• Should be proactive with a zeal to learn and have an inquisitive attitude
• Must be able to work the same schedule as team members
