Job Overview

Are you an experienced Product Owner who enjoys being part of a collaborative team? Bedrock Learning has an opportunity for a Product Owner to help transform outcomes with captivating, aspirational PedTech. Reporting to the Head of Product, this is an opportunity to work in a team that is committed to using technology to improve literacy. You will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of our innovative educational products. Working with our team requires a blend of insight and technical skills, by being able to translate real-world problems into features, backlogs and roadmaps. You will partner with industry experts and work with a product development team to make the Bedrock Learning platform that provides transformative learning experiences and actionable data for schools.

Core Responsibilities

  • Craft user stories and use cases including the appropriate level of technical requirements with an understanding of the business value to elevate each feature by describing the what and why.
  • Collect requirements including appropriate technical details and business goals from stakeholders, subject matter experts across the organisation, and market research.
  • Contribute to the planning and facilitate road map alignment to ensure that we build the right things, for the right people, at the right time.
  • Create and continually manage the product backlog to manage internal and external needs.
  • Monitor the team’s development velocity and facilitate the resolution of risks and blockers.
  • Ensure the product backlog is clearly understood by all, through iterative collaboration with the product development team and stakeholders to refine and remove ambiguity.
  • Continuously gather and analyse data and feedback from users and stakeholders to drive product improvements and enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices leveraging insights to inform the product backlog.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A demonstrable track record of user-centric product instinct, and more importantly delivering commercial digital products.
  • Experience in solving problems with scalable and intuitive product innovation.
  • Experience in a Product Owner role.
  • The desire for iterative product delivery whilst striving to realise continuous improvement in product and ways of working.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Desire to be self-motivated and use initiative to deliver in line with the product and business strategy.
  • Able to take and deliver constructive criticism.
  • Preferable experience working on a SaaS-based platform with high achievement in customer self-service.
