Back-End Developer

We are a UK-based company, but our team works remotely worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity as we are looking to hire a flexible back-end developer to help build systems that power our mobile and web apps, using the best technologies for the task.
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years of scalable software development
- Experience with GCP / Firebase / Cloud Run
- Experience using Node.js / Express
- Experience working with MongoDB and/or Firestore essential
- Willingness to add and explore new technologies as the need arises
- Comfortable with git for version control
Preferred but not required experience in:
- NextJS / Typescript
- SQL (BigQuery, MySQL or Cloud Spanner)
- Python
- OpenAPI (Swagger) Specifications
What you'll be doing:
- Implementing, improving, and deploying backend APIs and services
- Ensuring systems are documented (API specs) and tested (unit tests)
- Implementing automation of deployments and logging / monitoring
- Participating in technical design discussions with product and technical teams
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote
Report To: CTO and Product Manager
Salary: £30-£60k DOE
