Job description

The Ad Operations Contractor is a member of the Programs Department and will work alongside the Media Planner, the Senior Media Buyer, and the Media Buyer to assist in the execution of Voter Formation Project’s 2024 paid media campaigns. The Ad Operations Contractor will purchase advertising inventory,  and optimize performance across various digital platforms. Another aspect of this role will be to assess the quality of setups completed by other team members to ensure that there are no errors present in our live programs. Your support in this role will allow Voter Formation Project to accomplish its goals to register and turn out members of under-represented communities.

As the Ad Operations Contractor you will:

  • Purchase advertising inventory with various digital media platforms/channels, including self-service social platforms like Facebook and Snapchat, as well as managed-service DSP (i.e. StackAdapt)
  • Set up campaigns and conduct thorough QA.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and ensure that ads are displayed appropriately.
  • Utilize internally developed resources, and document, record, and continually update processes and strategies to ensure continuity and improvements within our media buying strategies.
  • Monitor program costs and ad performance in order to provide strategic recommendations and make real-time optimizations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in digital media, including familiarity with the media buying process.
  • Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets/Excel is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable learning and applying new processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both internally and with external stakeholders in a fully remote environment.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Enthusiasm for Voter Formation Project’s mission and vision.

$6,000 - $6,000 a month

The Ad Operations Associate will be compensated at a rate of $6,000 per Month for approximately 32 hours of work per week. The Voter Formation Project does not negotiate compensation.

This contract will begin on July 15, 2024, and conclude on November 14, 2024.

While the Voter Formation Project is an organization that works in political cycles, we whole-heartedly reject campaign culture and are focused on developing new, healthy norms for campaign work—even in-cycle.

Voter Formation Project operates on a four-day work week. In general, we work from Monday to Thursday and are closed on Fridays (holiday schedules may shift our work week). Our four days of work are standard eight-hour work days; we do not work a schedule of four ten-hour days. The Ad Operations Contractor is expected to be available during Voter Formation Project’s operating hours.
