We are pleased to announce an exciting new career opportunity for an Investment Analyst, to join the Policyholder Investment Office within the Asset Management function here at Phoenix Group!

Job Type: Permanent

Location: This role could be based in either our Wythall, Edinburgh or London offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

The role

This is a key role within the function, offering a great opportunity to support the management of Phoenix Policyholder Funds; covering all aspects of investment, operations, stakeholder management, stewardship and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and support Head of With Profits Portfolio Management and wider team in delivering optimal outcomes for our With Profits policyholders.
  • Support the development and delivery of investment strategy, performance, portfolio construction and manager change as it relates to With Profits Policyholder Funds.
  • Responsible for BAU and ad-hoc issues effecting With Profits Policyholder business.
  • Assist in stakeholder management to include representation at governance forums, committees and independent oversight bodies as required.
  • Act as an Asset Management interface for Policyholder Investment Office with internal teams including Pensions and Savings, Finance, Compliance, Risk and Actuarial.
  • Assess, design and implement consolidation and harmonisation strategies
  • Work with Asset Management colleagues on areas such Investment Strategy/Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) implementation, performance analysis, and integration of Sustainability and ESG

What are we looking for?

  • Some progress in a relevant professional qualification (or willingness to pursue) and/or applicable work experience.
  • Broad understanding of all investment management, investment operations, regulatory environment, evolution, policyholder outcomes and product types.
  • Some understanding of asset classes across equities, fixed income and alternatives (illiquids) and their application in With Profits Funds.
  • Experience of interacting with stakeholders across multiple disciplines i.e. Actuarial, Finance, Operations and Risk.
  • Some knowledge of investment markets, investment strategy and fund management methodologies as they apply to With Profits
  • Broad understanding of legal, tax and regulatory environment.
