Water Billing/Energy Billing Analyst (Part-Time)

Salary: £25k - £30k Pro rata
Summary
Do you have experience of working for a company in the Water/Energy Industry? Do you have experience of working as an energy consultant? A leading energy consultancy is looking for a Billing Analyst to be responsible for carrying out a multitude of bureau tasks for Water and Energy customers. This role includes tasks such as data entry, invoice validation, COT, and billing analysis. If you have experience working in an energy bureau focusing on Water, Gas, and Power; are comfortable with high volumes of data; and are analytical with excellent communication skills, the Billing Analyst role could be for you!
Responsibilities
- Obtain and track receipt of energy/water invoices on a monthly basis
- Produce and maintain spreadsheets to record all relevant data
- Develop an understanding of billing elements
- Analyse and assess the accuracy of charges
- Issue weekly, monthly, and adhoc reports
- Liaise with suppliers to raise and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
- Identify process improvements that could develop and drive the business
- Communicate ongoing queries internally to the relevant parties
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience with working in the Water and Energy industry
- Experience of working in bill validation or a billing department
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way
- Basic knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office software
- Strive to improve process wherever possible
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with both internal and external parties
- Ability to work accurately with a high volume of data
