VP of Organic Social - (Part Time)

Mavan is seeking a VP of Organic Social who will oversee all things pertaining to organic social for Mavan and its clients. In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert around organic social, with a key focus growing our client’s social footprint, growing their audiences, and driving culture by focusing on reach, engagement, community, and awareness KPIs (in addition to some consideration in the middle funnel) across multiple organic touchpoints.


  • Serve as lead on all organic social marketing – driving strategy and voice for organic social, community, talent social and influencer efforts - for all Mavan clients
  • Manage a portfolio of clients whose engagements either include organic social as the focus, or as key aspect, of the engagement
  • Own content strategy and scheduling for all organic channels
  • Ability to perform copywriting of content across organic social channels as needed
  • Manage all organic social reporting, social listening, and competitive social initiatives
  • Familiarity with managing a community across organic channels, as well as strategies to respond to negative sentiment
  • Oversee a team of graphic designers and copywriters
  • Understand clients’ business challenges and be able to articulate strategies to address those needs through organic social
  • Collaborate closely with the paid social marketing teams and other marketing arms, to drive awareness and engagement with all content for our clients
  • Work with internal teams to accomplish brand strategy, digital content, creative, data analysis, influencer marketing, and lifecycle marketing as needed
  • Assist on new business pitches and upsell existing clients across our portfolio of services
  • Inspire, manage, and mentor a team as it is built around you


  • 8+ years’ experience in media, social or similar marketing field
  • 6+ years of agency experience
  • 5+ years’ experience building and growing teams
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of current and emerging social media platforms and the intricacies that go into making compelling and engaging content across platform
  • Deep understanding of social marketing principles and programs with an emphasis on social marketing across strategy, content creation, community building and media
  • Proven track record of managing and growing multi-million dollar client accounts
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills that ensure our message is always clear and compelling to our client partners
  • Demonstrate a comfort level with data and analytics
  • Expertise in social media strategy and management
