Position Description: As a Voice Designer – For Honor at Ubisoft Montréal, you will play a central role in the voice system, ensuring dialogue integration and leading recording sessions. This is a 12-month contract position focused on supporting the ongoing development of For Honor, including hero creation and live content.

This Voice Designer position combines strong creative aspects with hands-on work. It requires a clear artistic vision, excellent communication skills, and a human approach to directing actors, while remaining efficient and well prepared in a continuous production context.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain voice and dialogue systems in line with the project vision.
  • Integrate and manage voice content using Wwise and internal tools, ensuring in-game consistency.
  • Lead and participate actively in voice recording sessions, including line tracking and artistic direction support.
  • Direct performers, guiding intentions, emotions, and performances with clarity and respect.
  • Edit voice audio in a DAW such as Reaper or Pro Tools.
  • Collaborate with Audio, Narrative, Programming, Localization, and Production teams to define and deliver voice requirements for heroes and live content.
  • Define, document, and maintain the voice integration pipeline, including script management with internal tools like Oasis.
  • Work closely with Localization to ensure understanding of voice systems and synchronization of changes.
  • Collaborate with QA on voice and dialogue test plans, debugging, and polish phases.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience integrating voices and dialogues into games or interactive media.
  • Strong artistic sense and ability to direct voice performances accurately.
  • Experience in voice recording sessions, including tracking, direction, and feedback.
  • Proficiency with audio editing workflows using tools such as Reaper or Pro Tools.
  • Knowledge of Wwise and structured audio pipelines; experience with proprietary tools is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfort working in production environments with international recordings.
  • Human, collaborative, and structured approach focused on quality and efficiency.
