Starship is looking for a strategic marketing leader with a proven track record in consumer marketing to lead one of the fastest growing fintech companies in the industry. As our VP of Marketing, you will help build awareness across a wide set of industries with a core focus on user acquisition and lifecycle marketing to existing users. As a seasoned professional, you are comfortable working across the full lifecycle of marketing projects from ideation to execution. You have a strong background in fintech and growth. You are a strategic thinker with a fresh perspective on how marketing can be done.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and help build a dynamic, cross-functional marketing team to further develop a marketing strategy that aligns with Starship’s key growth KPIs
  • Develop and iterate Starship’s customer acquisition and retention strategy across all digital channels including social, search, social, video, affiliate, influencer, push notification, and email.
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of go-to-market plans and work closely with other teams within Starship to champion the latest marketing trends and technologies
  • Ensure integrated marketing strategy and alignment on product positioning and communications architecture across all channels including Marketing, Customer Experience, and Product
  • Develop a data-driven approach to campaign strategy
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales/BD, and external influencers and agencies to deliver an integrated marketing strategy that supports go-to market efforts
  • Track and evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated goals and report on results
  • Oversee the overall marketing budget and decide on allocation based on performance
  • Oversee the MarTech stack
  • Some domestic travel is required

What you will need to be successful

  • 7+ years of experience managing end-to-end product marketing in fintech, consumer finance, or healthcare. Expertise in acquisition growth, GTM for new features & products, brand building, campaign management, digital marketing, and content based marketing
  • A track record of high performance, finding new ways to drive results
  • You’re insight-driven and customer focused (but you can also implement the required structures & processes)
  • You like to understand the ROI of marketing activities and foster an iterative way of working and learning to continuously improve
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate seamlessly with a global, multicultural team and organization, working across timezones
  • Strong data-driven mindset and ability to quickly pivot to improve performance metrics and KPI’s
  • Results-driven, with a passion for using data to build marketing campaigns that solve business problems, advance our brand narrative, and resonate with our member base
