You will support the Trading team in their exploration of commercial trading opportunities to generate increased P&L. In this support function you will cover analysis, pricing, market entry requirements and ad-hoc operational support.
How will I spend my time in this role?
- Support the Trading team by providing insightful analysis of energy market fundamentals to inform trading strategy and increase P&L;
- Provision of bespoke analysis to trading group as requested;
- Look at ways to improve trading processes with automation;
- Provide Pricing support to the Trading Team across a wide variety of standard and non-standard products to enable the traders to focus on execution;
- Provide support and functional back-up to Prompt Trader.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
- Gained an in-depth understanding of the Supply and Demand fundamentals driving UK Power and/or European Gas markets;
- Short term power fundamental knowledge and execution ability;
- Knowledge of UK power auctions and position management.
