A team of truly unique individuals who care about each other just as much as going the extra mile for pet parents. Want to be part of our story? Check out this role and see if you’re a good match!

Your territory

As part of our Factory & Tools team, you will:

  • Take ownership of a growing set of tools that power our Firmware development and factory workflows — from idea to hands-on implementation
  • Act as the product owner for all Firmware tools — identifying next features, prioritizing improvements, and ensuring each tool delivers real value to our teams
  • Collaborate with external partners (e.g. on the Factory Test Tool) to keep our production lines running smoothly
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions
  • Own and develop our hardware-in-the-loop setup for Firmware CI/CD — using smart, creative testing approaches to further boost Firmware quality
  • Build and maintain test infrastructure to validate tracker performance, streamline processes, and support Firmware reliability
  • Collaborate with Firmware, Backend, Tech Support, QA, and external partners while independently driving projects forward
  • Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
  • Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level

Your profile

Key requirements:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) for integration, automation, and data handling
  • Experience with C++ and CI/CD systems (preferably Jenkins)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills across the stack — from hardware to firmware and factory test software
  • Good grasp of agile practices, Git, code reviews, and software quality
  • Very good English skills
  • Valid work permit for Austria
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (1–2 times per year) for factory visits

Does this sound like you?

  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail and a deep curiosity for hardware and gadgets
  • Engaged, hands-on, and ready to take initiative
  • An effective communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Passionate about technology, especially in areas like IoT
  • Excited to work in Austria alongside an outstanding team
