Senior Technical Sound Designer
Reports to : Audio Director
Permanent – Full-Time
What you will do
- Responsible for the quality of technical content related to sound;
- Optimize the productivity of the teamthrough the technical process (Pipelines);
- Identify the technical needs of the project;
- Implement effective tools and workflows to maximize data integrationinto the game engine;
- Provide technical support to the team;
- Contribute to work planning in collaboration with the planning manager;
- Responsible for leadingoptimization and debugging;
- Collaboratewithvariousteams and disciplines to properlyintegratesystemsthatmanageaudio;
- Engage in the feedback and iteration processes for audio asset creation.
Whatyoubring
- College or universitydegree in Sound Design, Music, and/or anyequivalent training or experience;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Sound Designer;
- At least 1 to 2 publishedvideo game titles, from conception to completion;
- Strong experiencewith Unreal 4 and/or 5 and itssound engine (BP, SoundCues/Metasound).
Even better if you have
- Practicalknowledge of modern studio equipment and soundtoolsthatmeetindustry standards, an asset;
- ExperiencewithWwise, an asset;
- Experience in musical composition, an asset;
- Knowledge of audio programming, an asset;
- Strong analytical and synthesisskills;
- Ability to adapt to changes and workunder pressure whilemeetingagreed deadlines.
