Senior Technical Sound Designer

Reports to : Audio Director

Permanent – Full-Time

What you will do

  • Responsible for the quality of technical content related to sound;
  • Optimize the productivity of the teamthrough the technical process (Pipelines);
  • Identify the technical needs of the project;
  • Implement effective tools and workflows to maximize data integrationinto the game engine;
  • Provide technical support to the team;
  • Contribute to work planning in collaboration with the planning manager;
  • Responsible for leadingoptimization and debugging;
  • Collaboratewithvariousteams and disciplines to properlyintegratesystemsthatmanageaudio;
  • Engage in the feedback and iteration processes for audio asset creation.

Whatyoubring

  • College or universitydegree in Sound Design, Music, and/or anyequivalent training or experience;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Sound Designer;
  • At least 1 to 2 publishedvideo game titles, from conception to completion;
  • Strong experiencewith Unreal 4 and/or 5 and itssound engine (BP, SoundCues/Metasound).

Even better if you have

  • Practicalknowledge of modern studio equipment and soundtoolsthatmeetindustry standards, an asset;
  • ExperiencewithWwise, an asset;
  • Experience in musical composition, an asset;
  • Knowledge of audio programming, an asset;
  • Strong analytical and synthesisskills;
  • Ability to adapt to changes and workunder pressure whilemeetingagreed deadlines.
