- $86,815 pa + 12% super + leave loading Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 4 of EBA5
- 9 day fortnight
- 76 hour fortnight
- Location: Narangba
About our opportunity
As one of our Technical Officer's within the Parks Infrastructure Projects team, you will be responsible for the development, programming, implementation and monitoring the annual delivery of Council's parks infrastructure and playground renewal programs. This will include:
- undertaking a range of strategic end to end activities including program development, procurement and contractor engagement
- reviewing, developing and prioritising multi year renewal programs
- assessing and prioritising asset condition data to align with annual budgets
- creating program initiation submissions, specifications, procedures and guidelines for parks infrastructure and playground renewal programs as requested
- undertaking a range of procurement, contract and project administration activities related to delivering renewal programs
- auditing contract submissions and contractor management during the construction process to ensure compliance to applicable policies and procedures
About you
Ideally your application will demonstrate your experience in contract and project management, programming and estimating projects and procurement on Parks Infrastructure projects and you'll have the ability to interpret industry standards and complex designs to ensure relevant materials and specifications are included. We are seeking candidates with strong people and communication skills and those who have the ability to work effectively as part of a broader team.
Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, we'll need you to hold a current drivers licence, a Certificate IV in Project Management and/or a Certificate IV in Landscape Construction and you will either hold or be willing to obtain a Construction Induction card.
