At the Technological Group (TG), we provide tools, middleware and services tailored to Ubisoft’s game production needs, supporting them throughout their life cycle. Through collaboration and innovation, we contribute to facilitating creation and improving production efficiency, with the goal of delivering quality games to millions of players around the world. Exploring ideas, experimenting with new technologies and implementing stable technologies are part of our daily work.

As a Technical Lead within the Technological Group, you will define and guide the technological vision of our SDKs designed for game engines to ensure maximum quality, performance and reusability by Ubisoft production teams. You will be responsible for technical and architectural decisions for the technologies under your purview, and you will be called upon as an expert to actively participate in innovation topics that will shape the future of game development tools, particularly technologies dedicated to debugging and game performance.

Your role is essential for establishing technical and quality standards and promoting convergence between projects. You will collaborate closely with production teams, technical leads and architects from other groups, and technology partners to ensure our solutions meet varied needs while remaining sustainable and coherent.

What you’ll do

  • Technical leadership: Lead and oversee major technical decisions, ensuring consistency and longevity of the technologies for which you are responsible.
  • Strategic technical guidance: Define best practices, standards and strategic directions for the SDKs, frameworks, pipelines and tools used in production.
  • Cross-cutting impact: Propose solutions for complex, cross-functional topics such as vendor replacement, service migrations and compliance with privacy laws.
  • Technological prototyping: Explore and prototype new technologies, anticipate developments and position TG to leverage them effectively.
  • Systems integration: Ensure technical decisions align with the long-term vision, evaluating risks and interdependencies between systems.
  • Collaboration and mentorship: Ensure the cohesiveness of the TG ecosystem by collaborating with other activities and supporting engineering teams in their technical skill development.
  • Management of technical reviews: Facilitate technical review processes, including inter-activity synchronizations and domain-specific discussions on performance, debugging, observability and automated testing that impact game developers.

Why this role is for you

  • You excel at translating business needs into technical solutions—and vice versa.
  • You can synthesize complex situations into clear visual and textual representations suitable for different audiences.
