Key Objective

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the Reboot website is technically best-in-class, optimised for speed, performance, and reliability, and continuously improved to support SEO and inbound marketing. Alongside this, you will manage and develop Reboot’s placement backend and other internal tools, making them easier for the team to use and capable of producing better reporting and insights.

Beyond these core platforms, you will partner with Design and Marketing to deliver new features and pages, maintain clear development documentation, and manage one freelancer to support delivery. You will also play an important role in identifying automation opportunities and scoping projects that improve operational efficiency. While the role is primarily focused on Reboot’s own platforms, you may occasionally support client-side fixes, mostly on WordPress/PHP.

Core Responsibilities

  • Owning and optimising the Reboot website (Django) for speed, technical SEO performance, and inbound marketing impact.
  • Improving our placement backend/databases - making it easier to use, stronger for reporting, and fit for future growth.
  • Supporting new builds, features, and automation opportunities that streamline how we work.
  • Collaborating with Design and Marketing to deliver high-quality, high-performing pages and features.
  • Managing one freelancer and occasional small client fixes (WordPress/PHP).
  • Maintaining uptime and hosting across select client websites and internal projects
  • Proactively identifying, scoping and building AI-enabled automations and workflows to improve company efficiency and profitability

About You

Tech Stack
  • Core: Python/Django, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Additional: PHP/WordPress, React/Angular, Node.js (occasional projects)
  • Infrastructure: Ubuntu/Linux/Debian, AWS, GCP
  • Tools: Git, CI/CD, performance monitoring
Additional Expectations
  • A hands-on developer with strong Django/Python experience, comfortable owning both external websites and internal tools.
  • Skilled in optimising web performance (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals) and translating creative designs into functional, responsive builds.
  • Experienced in maintaining and enhancing internal systems/databases with a focus on usability and reporting.
  • Confident working directly with non-technical stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Organised, detail-driven, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to manage priorities effectively, overseeing a freelancer while driving your own workload. Knowledge of ClickUp a bonus
  • Enthusiastic about automation, innovation, and introducing smarter ways of working.
