How You’ll Make An Impact:
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner at ThredUp, you will be instrumental in identifying, engaging, and hiring top-tier technical talent to drive our organization's growth and support strategic business initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping shape and execute strategic hiring plans aligned with business needs. You'll creatively source a diverse range of technical talent across various functional areas, while focusing on attracting individuals who are deeply committed to ThredUp’s mission of sustainability and circular fashion, ensuring we build a team passionate about our purpose.
This is a full-time position based in Oakland, CA.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and engage passive and active candidates.
- Leverage your deep industry expertise and network to identify and engage top talent across a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to technical talent—immediate hiring needs include software engineering, data science & analytics, growth marketing, etc.
- Conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates' technical skills, experiences, and cultural alignment with the organization.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
- Partner with cross-functional hiring managers teams to ensure seamless coordination of the hiring process, including interview panels, assessments, and feedback sessions.
- Schedule interviews, outline hiring plans, and handle other tactical recruiting tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Commit to diversity sourcing and inclusive hiring practices, continuously seeking new ideas and approaches to attract underrepresented talent.
- Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics to provide insights on competitive hiring landscapes.
- Utilize data and analytics to track key recruitment metrics and drive continuous improvement in the recruitment process.
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of Recruiting Experience and 3+ years of Technical Recruiting experience.
- Proven track record of success in Technical Recruitment. Focus on Software Engineering, Data Science and Analytics, Web Development and Front-End/Back-End Engineering, Machine Learning, Mobile App Development, Technical Leadership, UI/UX Design, Product Engineering & Design, Growth Marketing (and more!) strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with Workday Recruiting ATS a plus
- Experience developing and refining interview processes and candidate engagement strategies.
- Experience leveraging a variety of sourcing and recruiting tools.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close offers and secure top talent.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable to change.
- Ability to report to our Oakland, CA office 3 days per week.
At thredUP, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $160,000 and $175,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Many thredUP employees also have the opportunity to own shares of thredUP stock. thredUP employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing thredUP stock if voluntarily participating in thredUP’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.
