Purpose and activities

Within Group Technology & Services Intesa Sanpaolo and more specifically the Digital & Cloud Technology service we are looking for a figure with the role of “System Engineer”, intermediate level, who will contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of the Bank's OT and IoT device management services and related processes.

Main activities:

  • Configuration and management of environments based on Kubernetes and OpenShift for microservice solutions.
  • Installation and configuration of network traffic collection components Nozomi Guardian and CMC.
  • Management of communication processes and enabling network rules for interfacing between components and security devices, including protocols such as SSH, TELNET and HTTPS.
  • Integration and configuration with PostgreSQL databases in PaaS mode.
  • Management of integration with HashiCorp vault systems for secret management.
  • Management and maintenance of management platforms and OT and IoT concentrators.
  • Implementation of updates, patches and firmware for management platforms and IoT concentrators.
  • Collaboration in automated deployment of solutions with Helm.
  • Implementation of security measures on management platforms and IoT concentrators.
  • Configuration, adoption and technological maintenance of stand-alone sensors and concentrators.
  • Execution of technical tests and trials for IoT and OT systems.
  • Contribution to vulnerability management and patch management.
  • Support in onboarding new solutions and in operational activities in the IoT and OT domain.

Required experience

3-5 years required in:

  • System administration in Open Kubernetes, OpenShift environments and operating systems, virtualization systems, web services, main Azure cloud services, Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Management and implementation of solutions and monitoring of OT and IoT devices Nozomi Network and XAUTOMATA.

Required qualifications, skills and competencies

  • Degree in STEM disciplines.
  • Good knowledge of containerization and orchestration processes Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift platform.
  • Good knowledge of main relational databases PostgreSQL, MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Good knowledge of IoT and OT monitoring and security services.
  • Excellent knowledge of main network protocols and primary firewalling rules.
  • Good knowledge of main Microsoft Azure cloud services, Entra ID, RBAC.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and main services.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 ecosystem.
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting language.
  • English proficiency level: intermediate.

Preferred requirements (plus):

  • Knowledge of NOZOMI Network and XAUTOMATA monitoring and security services for IoT and OT devices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for IoT and OT devices, including Risk Assessment, Network Segmentation and Access Control.
  • Knowledge of main Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Knowledge of Asset Discovery and Vulnerability Management processes.
  • Knowledge of HashiCorp secret management solution.
