Only considering candidates eligible to work in Europe ⚠️
Do you want to make the planet a little greener while creating the world’s best workplace? Well, then you should read on because that’s exactly what we can offer.
At comundo, our vision is to be the world's biggest contributor to a net-zero planet.
Ambitious? You bet. Achievable? Absolutely. We'll do this by providing companies with accurate energy data, which makes their carbon accounting easy, efficient and effective. But we need YOU, our very first strategic controller to help us get there.
Based in our Copenhagen office, you’ll be responsible for key areas such as:
- Financial reporting and analysis. You’ll prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and analyze key metrics to guide decision-making
- Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow projections
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and payroll
- Strategic planning by providing financial insights and recommendations to support the company's strategic goals and growth
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; manage audits and financial risks
- Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy
- Help communicate financial performance to investors and stakeholders, and support fundraising activities when necessary
- Help oversee our warrant scheme
What we’re looking for
In most cases, you’ll tell us what we need, not the other way around – that’s why experience is required. But if you don’t tick all the boxes below, don’t be put off; experience you can gain – and maybe comundo is where you’ll gain it.
The key thing for us is that you’re passionate about our mission and you fit in with the team in Vilnius, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
It would be great if you had:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior finance role, preferably within a startup or high-growth company. As you’ll own this area by yourself, proven experience is a must
- Accounting expertise with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting as you’ll handle everything from drafting a budget to daily bookkeeping, paying invoices and coordinating with banks
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and financial modeling tools
- Experience in developing and executing financial strategies that support business growth and scalability
- Familiarity with tax regulations, compliance, and managing financial audits
- Ideally experience in fundraising, investor communications, and financial due diligence for venture capital or private equity
- A definite plus if you have experience at companies with a presence in multiple markets as you’ll be working on special projects such as opening and maintaining local subsidiaries
- Strong analytical mindset, with a proven track record of providing actionable financial insights to drive business decisions
- Great communication skills. You need to take something that some people find very complex and make it easy to digest and understand
- Solid communication skills in both Danish and English
- A real team spirit; we’re looking for someone who enjoys working together to find solutions, rolling up their sleeves and building things from scratch – be that something within their job description or the new office shelves
What we believe in
Our people are the most important asset that we have. Everything we do is based on them and their well-being. Yes, we’re a startup. Yes, we’re super ambitious. Yes, you’ll need to drive commercial success. But we’re also a very experienced team and we have a clear vision of the company and the culture we’re trying to build.
Everything is structured around our core values of Community, Mastery and Doing Good. We want comundo to be a place with a high level of trust, where we support one another and celebrate each other's wins. We’re looking for colleagues who have comprehensive knowledge and drive, and those who can act autonomously. You control your own time and know what’s needed to add value to the company, colleagues, and our customers.
What we offer
We could talk about lunches, parties, table tennis and all that other typical startup stuff. And sure, we like that, but not as much as the things that truly matter, like making sure you have the opportunity to live the life you want to live while ensuring you feel like an important part of the company.
To get there, we offer you:
- A four-day working week with full-time pay
- Access to a pension scheme and healthcare
- A warrant program
- A plan for your personal development
