What will your ‘typical’ day look like… (there’s no two days the same in Atom):

In Technology we’ve created long lived cross-functional product delivery teams known as Value Streams. They design, develop and deliver a customer journey that is secure, performant and user-friendly, ensuring we remain a leader in the fintech space.

As a Solution Architect in the Business Lending Value Stream you’ll partner with business and technical teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that address customer use cases and accelerate the adoption of Atom. A key focus of this role is to provide solutions that automate a number of our processes within Business Lending.

Atom’s Solution Architects connect technology with measurable business value whilst demonstrating ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. You’ll link business mission, strategy and processes to our technology strategy using multiple architectural models that show how we transition from our current state to meet our future needs in a sustainable and adaptable manner.

You will also:

• Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment into various environments
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions with the business development, marketing, training, and technical teams to transfer knowledge of customer solutions
• Ensure solutions are packaged in an easily consumable and repeatable way for customers and internal teams including marketing, solutions architecture, and support
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solutions architect community
• Author or otherwise contribute to Atom customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, solutions marketing, reference architectures, and reference implementations
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within Atom and partners
• Provide line management and coaching to Technical Architects within the Business Lending Value Stream.

What do we need from you?

• Experience as a Solution Architect in an Agile environment.
• Significant design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
• Breadth of knowledge across infrastructure architecture, applications architecture, microservice design, database architecture and networking with a specific interest in one area.
• Systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
• Very strong written communication skills
• High level of comfort communicating effectively to internal & external stakeholders.
• An understanding of architectural frameworks and standards e.g., ArchiMate, TOGAF, BIAN, eTOM
• Financial Services experience
