  • Posted 2 weeks ago is a software company in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Our goal at is to make the lives of system administrators easier – and makes them look good.

This is a fully remote position

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work closely with a cross-functional delivery team to develop the next generation of PDQ’s web-based products. To do that, you’ll need to be a generalist comfortable writing code, maintaining test infrastructure, triaging bugs, and documenting defects.

You will have the opportunity to architect our web testing efforts from nascent to sophisticated. You will have the opportunity to mentor other members of the department as they make the switch to web-based testing. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by senior Software Engineers to grow your technical skills and achieve career growth goals.

Our ideal candidate will sit in the middle of the Venn diagram of the Programming Skills X Testing Knowledge. Preferably they will be qualified to be (or have been) a software engineer but with a passion for quality or automation.

They will fulfill the normal obligations of an embedded quality engineer, while also helping architect our web testing processes, toolset, and paradigms. Our web testing competency is nascent, so this contributor will have a large hand in shaping what the next-gen of testing looks like at PDQ.

Additionally, we picture this role as serving as a ‘farming league' for our other engineering roles. Technical contributors may use this role to develop stronger coding skills, gain familiarity with modern coding practices and learn ITAM domain-specific knowledge. (Useful for working as an SE on the next-gen products)
