Job Description:

PDQ is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Investigations team. This role combines development work on our Detect product with client-facing communication, making it an ideal opportunity for a candidate who thrives in both technical and interpersonal environments and is excited to solve complex problems and can balance the demands of coding tasks with effective candidate communication.

What you'll be doing:

  • Troubleshooting potential issues and implement fixes efficiently
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Developing software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks
  • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in software development
  • Engaging with peers and customers to clarify and reproduce reported issues

We're looking for people who have:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development '
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript or Python)
  • Proficiency with Linux OS
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to grow as part of a highly dynamic team
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Basic understanding of database concepts
  • Docker experience is a plus
  • Experience with modern technology stacks is a plus (React, Django, MySQL, NodeJS)
