Purpose and Activities

We are looking for IT professionals who can manage complexity with confidence and a challenge-oriented approach, fostering synergy and inclusion.

As a Software Engineer you will design and develop application software and data components supporting software systems, maximizing quality and performance in accordance with defined technical and functional specifications.

You will work inside the Group Intesa Sanpaolo IT Division in the Channels area and develop innovative solutions, collaborating with colleagues who manage the design and functional aspects of the Channels service applications, supporting them in choosing the best technological options and architectural solutions to make the application areas efficient and stable.

Main activities:

  • Design and development of application software
  • Managing relationships with internal and external development team members
  • Collaboration with the Project Manager to define project progress status, identify and address critical issues, and proactively identify and manage project risks
  • Ensuring consistency between developed solutions and company standards/regulations (e.g. Cybersecurity, Privacy, Change Management, Data Management)

Required Experience

At least 1-3 years of experience on medium/high complexity IT projects, preferably in banking, financial or credit sectors.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences

  • Degree or specialized diploma in computer-science-related fields (mathematics, physics, computer engineering)
  • Good command of English
  • Excellent knowledge of Office 365 tools
  • Knowledge of major operating systems
  • Knowledge of main SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of data transformation (ETL) and data communication technologies
  • Experience and knowledge of programming in the following technologies: Java (with Spring framework), Spring Boot, Angular
  • Experience developing on WebLogic and JBoss application servers
  • Good knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
  • Knowledge of REST API design
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of major cloud development platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS)
  • Strong sensitivity to performance and code optimization
  • Basic knowledge of Elastic/Splunk/Dynatrace

The following are a plus:

  • Experience in developing native and/or hybrid mobile apps
  • Knowledge of Flutter
  • Knowledge of low-code platforms
  • Knowledge of Python and Go
  • Knowledge of CI/CD DevOps processes and tools
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum development methodology
